We make wine for personal enjoyment, and our site is open to anyone interested in this rewarding hobby. Our club is for amateur winemakers who are willing and eager to learn the fine art of making, and occasionally tasting, one of nature's finest foods. If you live in the Rochester area, or anywhere in western upstate New York, come meet with us.
Rochester Area Home Winemakers

The park is off the South side of Calkins Road, between East Henrietta Road (15A) and West Henrietta Road (15), also between Wegman's and the Henrietta Senior Center.
Date: July 20th, Wednesday, Time: 5:00 – 8:00 pm
Activities: 5:00 - Gather at shelter for social time
6:00 - Eat dinner and share your wine
6:45 - Brief club meeting and more social time

Please email Hank Kingston at firstname.lastname@example.org , if you are coming. We need to know how many are coming to determine the amount of food to buy. Also, please let me know what dish you are bringing to pass, so that we don't get too many of the same thing.
Plan on bringing the whole family. There is a big playground right by the pavilion.
Make checks payable to RAHW, and send them to Ernie Sulouff, 5 Hunters Pointe, Pittsford, NY 14534 or pay online via this link:
There will be a brief meeting at the picnic on July 20, 2016. See above for details.
Our next regular meeting will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016. We will have a presentation on malo-lactic fermentation (MLF) and chromatography, and a celebration in honor of our club's 10th Anniversary. See Meeting Schedule for more information.
Rochester Area Home Winemakers’ very first meeting was held in September 2006. We count it as a privilege to have served the greater Rochester area’s home winemakers for the past ten years and we hope to continue doing so for many years to come. Come to our September 10 meeting to help us celebrate!
RAHW club is excited to announce that our very first student grant has been awarded to Catlin Boland, who just graduated from the Viticulture/Enology program at Finger Lakes Community College. Catlin plans to pursue her lifelong passion for winemaking by doing harvest work around the Finger Lakes, and possibly in South Africa's Cape region, before she heads to Washington State University to complete her Bachelor's in Enology.
To further our club’s purpose to promote winemaking education, we will award $250 each year to a deserving student who completes his or her second year in FLCC’s Viticulture/Enology program and plans to either get a job in Viticulture/Enology or continue in a Bachelors degree program in that field. The FLCC Foundation administers the grant and chooses the recipient each year.
